The Danish cheese scene is bursting with flavours and many new cheeses are being created these years. 

We present the South Jutland cheese board, filled with local cheeses from Naturmælk and others. We also look across the border and spice up the experience with award-winning cheeses from a farm dairy in Schleswig - a unique opportunity to taste some of the neighbouring country's best cheeses.

The South Jutland cheese table is presented by Vadehavets Oplevelser and offered together with Camilla Bojsen-Møller (www.ostesnak.dk), one of Denmark's most talented cheese educators. With her expertise, you'll be taken on a flavour journey where you'll learn about the different types of cheese, hear exciting stories and gain deeper insight into the local cheeses. And of course, you'll taste through all the cheeses, accompanied by carefully selected accompaniments.

About Camilla Bojsen-Møller

Since 2000, Camilla has worked with communication and marketing of cheese - first at Tholstrup Cheese (now part of Arla) and then at French Lactalis (formerly Delimo) and today as an independent cheese communicator.

In the cheese industry, she encountered a fascinating and flavourful world with amazing stories and proud traditions that have been passed down through generations. She wanted to pass on all these stories to other cheese lovers, and her passion for cheese still drives her in her mission to show the way to better cheese experiences.

Since 2012 she has been blogging about cheese (www.ostesnak.dk), and in 2015 Samvirke published her book ’Cheese on the table’.

Today, Camilla teaches cheese, organises cheese tastings and works as a marketing consultant in the cheese industry.

Marskgården Højergård

Marskgården in Højer includes a small collection of historic houses. A 200-year-old farmhouse from one of the town's marsh farms, a German-inspired villa from 1906 and a barn from the 1700s.

Together, the three buildings tell the story of a special building tradition that has been shaped by the nature, culture and history of Southern Jutland for generations. Today, Marskgården in Højer is owned by Realdania By & Byg, whose restoration will promote the living building culture.
